Air Force Major Jason P. Watson Arrested After Capitol Impeachment Protest Against Trump
Remember his name. He got arrested for saying mean things about President Trump.
An active-duty Air Force major crossed from protest into potential military discipline after refusing to leave the Capitol steps when ordered—and now the consequences could extend well beyond a simple arrest. The bigger fight may be over what happens to his military career next.
An Air Force major was arrested Wednesday after calling for the impeachment of President Trump and Vice President JD Vance from the steps of the U.S. Capitol. Maj. Jason P. Watson initially spoke while accompanied by Rep. Al Green (D-Texas), but Capitol Police said Watson remained after Green left and refused orders to step down, leading to his arrest on charges of crowding, obstructing, and incommoding.1
Watson argued that recent military actions involving Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba violated Congress’ constitutional war powers and accused the administration of broader constitutional abuses involving immigration enforcement, DOGE, and protest response. During his remarks, he repeatedly declared, “For this, the President and Vice President must be impeached, convicted, and removed.”
Green later praised Watson’s actions in a video after the arrest, saying: “This is the kind of courage necessary to inspire others to understand that liberty and justice for all that we pledge allegiance to is something that we can make real.”
The arrest may be only the beginning for Watson. As an active-duty Air Force officer, he will also face disciplinary action or a court-martial under the Uniform Code of Military Justice depending on how military officials proceed.

Editor: Protesting is a constitutional right. Doing it while wearing the responsibilities of an active-duty commission is where the legal and military rulebooks start colliding. And that’s a damned shame.
Literally, “To cause to be inconvenienced; disturb.” Poor baby, Trump.

WTF.
