DNC Convention Thoughts
Thoughts (on what I saw because I didn't see it all) on the Convention
1. Loved that Kamala Harris came out on Day 1. It looked like it surprised everybody, including Walz and Harris' husband.
2. Steve Kerr's speech was excellent. But I'm biased. I love the guy. He's got 10 championships: In the NBA, 5 as a player, 4 as a coach, one Olympic gold medal.
3. Jasmine Crockett - I love her. She gave the best beat down, and it was still positive.
The part about how Harris wiped her tear...OMG. Made me cry, too.
4. AOC. What can I say? I love her, too! I say this tongue-in-cheek: She's gonna be somebody some day! (I know, she's the best already.)
5. Clinton was good. I didn't like that she was nodding to the "Lock him up" chants. But I certainly don't blame her. She still yells at speeches...but damn it if I don't still feel really horrible that trump stole 2016 from her—and was allowed to get away with it. Thanks, Bill Barr, you fucking clown.
6. I saw some of Biden's speech. He seemed like the old (younger) Biden. No freezes. No pauses. Just downright authenticity.
And it was at like midnight or some shit. So don't ever say he's got dementia. Fuck that noise. I firmly believe it was his cold and meds. His medical staff should be shuttled.
7. I purposely didn't watch Warnock. Preaching annoys me. I'm sure he gave a great speech, though.
8. Governor Beshear bored me. I stopped watching.
9. The "Law & Order" parody ad was outstanding.
10. Hadley Duvall's appearance was heart-breaking, captivating, and left me gutted.
Overall, the DNC Convention was super positive and very high energy. There were no D-list actors and no has-been fake pro wrestlers.
What are your thoughts?
