The legal team includes high-profile figures like Joshua S. Levy, a former U.S. attorney in Boston, and top conservative lawyers like Mr. Burck, who clerked for Justice Anthony Kennedy and served in the George W. Bush administration. The team’s experience is a key asset as Harvard faces increased scrutiny from the Trump administration on issues like funding and political ideology.
Among the lawyers involved, at least seven have clerked for Republican-appointed Supreme Court justices, showcasing the team’s deep ties to conservative legal circles.
