Jeanine Pirro’s Texts Reveal Loyalty to Trump—and Loathing for Hannity
Leaked text messages show Jeanine Pirro bragging about boosting Trump in 2020 while trashing Sean Hannity as an “egomaniac.”
The unredacted texts, released in court filings tied to the Smartmatic lawsuit against Fox News, capture Pirro boasting to then-RNC chair Ronna McDaniel: “I work so hard for the party across the country. … I work so hard for the President and party.” That’s not journalism—that’s campaign staff cosplay with a prime-time slot.
Another text was even more revealing. Pirro complained about Hannity barging into the Oval Office during her meeting with Trump, writing, “Sean [Hannity] is an egomaniac… storms in like he owns the place, throws his papers on the Pres desk… it’s all abt him, period. No one else matters.”
Imagine fighting for face time with the president and losing to your own network colleague.
Pirro left Fox earlier this year when Trump handed her a bigger prize—U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C. She’s promised to crack down on crime in the capital while doubling down on her loyalty to the president. That career leap, conveniently timed as her texts hit daylight, makes her transition from cable pundit to government prosecutor look more like a reward than a coincidence.
Fox, for its part, insists it was only covering “newsworthy allegations” about the 2020 election and accuses Smartmatic of inflating damages to stifle free speech. But with Pirro’s texts now public, the line between reporting and cheerleading looks thinner than ever.

So Hannity hogged the bathroom and Pirro hogged Trump’s attention. Meanwhile, the rest of us are stuck watching their egos clog the airwaves.
