"The Loser of the Middle East!"
President Donald Trump claimed Iran has surrendered and apologized—then warned it will be “hit very hard” and hinted at targeting new “groups of people.”
If that sounds like victory lap meets escalation notice, that’s because it is.
Here’s the text:
Iran, which is being beat to HELL, has apologized and surrendered to its Middle East neighbors, and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore. This promise was only made because of the relentless U.S. and Israeli attack. They were looking to take over and rule the Middle East. It is the first time that Iran has ever lost, in thousands of years, to surrounding Middle Eastern Countries. They have said, “Thank you President Trump.” I have said, “You’re welcome!” Iran is no longer the “Bully of the Middle East,” they are, instead, “THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,” and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse! Today Iran will be hit very hard! Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death, because of Iran’s bad behavior, are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
In a Truth Social post Saturday morning, Donald Trump declared Iran “THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,” claimed it had “apologized and surrendered,” and suggested the U.S. and Israel had broken Tehran’s regional ambitions. He even wrote that Iran said, “Thank you President Trump,” adding, “You’re welcome!” There is no confirmed public statement from Iran thanking him.
Then came the turn. “Today Iran will be hit very hard!” Trump wrote, adding that “areas and groups of people” not previously considered for targeting are now “under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death.” That is not standard Pentagon phrasing. That is escalation language.
Let’s translate the post into plain English. Trump is asserting that Iran has been militarily defeated, that its outreach to neighboring countries amounts to surrender, and that U.S. attacks may now widen. News coverage from outlets including Reuters, AP News, and The Washington Post reports he has threatened to expand targets—even as Tehran publicly rejects the idea of surrender.
The most loaded sentence is this one: “Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death … are areas and groups of people that were not considered for targeting up until this moment in time.” Military briefings usually talk about facilities, capabilities, infrastructure. “Groups of people” reads differently. Analysts say that suggests potential expansion beyond fixed military sites—possibly leadership networks or aligned militias.
Here’s the contradiction: if Iran truly “surrendered,” escalation typically stops. Instead, Trump frames the apology—if that’s what it was—as proof more force is justified. The structure of the message is clear: declare victory, humiliate the opponent, then threaten further punishment anyway.

Editor: When a president uses “certain death” in a social post, that’s not chest-thumping—that’s a signal. Whether it’s strategy or improvisation is the question the rest of the world is now forced to answer.
This is the most passive-aggressive bullshit I’ve ever seen from a US President. He’s bonkers. Somebody needs to change his diapers and give him some meds. He also needs a nap.
