A recent directive from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has tasked agencies, including the CIA, NSA, and DIA, with using surveillance tools and on-the-ground sources to monitor local attitudes toward U.S. objectives.

This latest directive marks a critical step in Trump’s efforts to claim Greenland, an area rich in rare-earth minerals and oil reserves. Despite previous efforts to purchase the island from Denmark being rebuffed, Trump has expressed that Greenland’s strategic value cannot be overstated.
